Note to all those shopping for a photographer. We are providing a list of photographers but we do not guarantee or vouch for your services with any particular artist. This is simply a list of photographers who registered through us. We are doing our best to break them down into each region so you may find the artist nearest to you. It is YOUR responsibility to research the photographer of your choice by:
A) Look through their galleries to determine their unique style and if it fits what you desire in a portrait.
B) Check out their social networks to see how they act or react with their following. You can get a great idea of their personality that way.
C) Ask around to see what other clients have experienced working with said photographer.
D) Make sure they have liability insurance. The sign of a professional photographer is that they have their ducks in a row.
E) A professional photographer should have a contract for you to sign with a possible model release. Always have a contract! It protects you and the artist!
F) Be sure to clearly communicate what you are looking for and watch for how well they communicate back with you. If the communication is not there then it might not be the best fit.
G) If you are searching for a photographer that has exciting images (ie Clients in Water, Clients with flowing clothing, Infants) and you want them to create just as stunning of images as they have in the past: You need to follow the instructions of the artists. Find the clothing they ask you to find, Follow instructions. It will not work, for example, if you want a water shoot but are not willing to walk in the water without your shoes or even get in the water. For stunning you have to meet them halfway.
Here are some of our DO NOT DO’s:
1 – Do not shop for a photographer based on price alone.
2 – Do not just take a friends word for it (Read A B & C)
3 – Do not trust anyone who is not concerned about your safety first!
4 – Do not assume someone will produce the style of work that you saw a different artist create. You need to research the photographer you are hiring and their style. The chances are, they will produce what they are sharing with the public.
