When the seas are turbulent and the sky is ominous, HDR beckons.  I used a Singh-Ray Vari-ND filter to extend the exposure duration, which resulted in a cottony appearance to the water.  I finished the scene using Nik/Google’s Color Efex Pro plug-in.  The Tonal Contrast filter adds a striking punch.
